Seasonal Cards - Autumn

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I am blog hopping with some beautiful demonstrators from all over the globe.
Please make sure that you visit each ladies post as they make the most amazing and beautiful creations!

This months theme relates to the changing of the seasons.

As I live in the Southern Hemisphere my post is different to the other ladies as we have just gone from Summer too Autumn. I am very thankful for the cooler weather with the change of season. It has been a very hot and humid summer where I live.

My beautiful friends that will be blogging from the other side of the globe have just experienced the Spring Equinox on the 20th of March. Spring has sprung in the Northern Hemisphere. This event is also marked by the Persian New Year and is significant as it represents new beginnings. In India it is celebrated with a Hindi festival called Holli. A friend of mine currently living in India has posted some amazingly beautiful photographs on social media of herself and friends celebrating this festival with the most vibrant coloured powders all over them. It certainly looked like they had celebrated well. This celebration represents the victory of good over evil. I have been fascinated with her life in India through her beautiful photographs. Such a colourfully vibrant country.

In Australia we welcome Autumn at this time of year. So I have created three Autumnal cards. One for the beginner stamper, one for the casual stamper and one for the avid stamper. The Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper and stamp set are the perfect choice for a seasonal card as all the seasons are represented with this Designer Series Paper. Both the Painted Seasons Bundle and the All Adorned stamp set used to make these cards, are only available until the end of this month as part of Stampin' Up! ®  Sale-A-Bration offerings. So don't miss out!

This first card for the beginner stamper is quick to make.

I randomly stamped the leaves from the Painted Season's Stamp Set in garden Green Ink down the left hand side of a Whisper White card base. I then stamped the sentiment from the All Adorned Stamp set in Early Espresso Ink. And it is all done, ready to post or hand out!

The second card I created for the casual stamper.

I cut a 4.5cm strip from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper. I then cut a slightly wider 5cm strip of Garden Green Card Stock. I glued these together and glued them to a Whisper White card base, with a small edge of white on the left side of card base.  I stamped the leaf in Garden Green ink on the lower right hand side of the card base then stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink over the top of that.

That is the second card done!

The third card I have created for the avid stamper.

For this third card I have again used a 4.5cm strip of the Autumn Painted Seasons Designer Series paper. I then glued this to a piece of Garden Green card stock that was 4.8cm wide. I glued this to a piece of Whisper White that measures 10cm x 14.4cm. I placed the Braided linen trim around the lower half of the card and secured to the back using glue dots™️.

then glued this layer to a card base of Garden Green. I then stamped the leaf stamp from the Painted seasons of a piece of Whisper White card stock and used the Big Shot™️ to cut the leaf using a framelit™️.

I then Stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso on piece of Whisper With card stock I punched this out with the Story Label Punch. This punch is available through to the end of this month. I then decided to make a thin border of Garden Green card stock to go around this sentiment . So I punched 2 labels with the Story Book Punch in Garden Green card stock. I cut them in half, the first from the top to the bottom and the second from the right to the left of the punched image. I then glued these pieces carefully to the back of the sentiment so that there was a very thin border. I attached the leaf die cut shape to the card base using glue over the top of the Braided Linen Trim. I secured the sentiment layer with dimensionals over the top of the leaf and Braided Linen trim. The last step was to apply the three clear epoxy droplets to the card.

That is my card for the avid stamper.
